Electric guitar lessons for beginners in Amsterdam-Centrum

Individual guitar lessons of all major basic techniques you need for every style of music.
Whether it be rock, metal, pop or blues. For a modest price you can in a quick and relaxed way
experience the thrill of playing guitar. If you want to play electric guitar you do
not have to start on
an acoustic. The lessons use tablature ('tabs'), you don't need to learn to read notes. Making music
comes first! Advice on buying a guitar and affordable amplification is possible: read the Blog page.

The content of the lessons is tailored to your taste in music and your playing level. One wants to
accompany themselves with chords, the other wants to learn to solo, the next learn how to play along
with his/her chosen favorite songs. Any way you choose to express yourself and let your hair down.
You start with learning basic guitar techniques, while you train your ear too. My specialty is the
electric guitar. If desired, and when you are ready, the focus can be specific on rock/metal on electric
guitar, and learn much about tone, speed ('shred'), effects and amps. As an experienced musician, I
can also answer questions from students regarding a band, recording techniques, writing your own
songs or performing.

Trial lesson
Single lesson for people who are interested in attending regular classes. We can meet to see if there's
the right vibe between us. We can also discuss what you expect from the lessons and what you would
like to learn. Costs 17,50 euros, duration 45 minutes.
My advice is 1 lesson per week. Usually half an hour a week is enough because otherwise you will have
too much new information to process. And you can keep track of what you are practicing at home
that week. Teaching materials with exercises / music are included and available during the lessons at
my homestudio or via email.

TERMS
Anyone who studies with Frits Tjassens Keiser accepts the following house rules:
The cancellation of classes:
Cancellation of classes rather not. If all else fails, please notify as long as possible in advance.
Lessons cancelled shorter than 48 hours in advance -or not canceled at all- will be charged.

Rules relating to the regular set day lessons:
The set day lessons are paid
in advance by 4 half hour lessons or 2 lessons of one hour.
If the student wants to stop attending regular lessons, he/she will notify no later than two weeks
before the last lesson.

If a student agrees to the following of weekly classes, he/she agrees to actually attend each week
during the period of paid course. Of course, every now and then something unexpected may intervene.
In that case the lesson is moved, if possible. If this is not possible lapse lesson will move on to the
next week.
If a cancellation of lessons happens too often, the teacher can decide to change the type
of teaching from the regular weekly lessons to the stripcard system.
This gives the students
complete freedom over when to have lessons, but at a higher rate. What is cancelling too often?
This is a gray area, but the limit is about average once a month cancelling.
